Rishi's Community Yoga is the only studio that I teach at aside from my private in-home studio. It is a lovely community made for those who love to savor their yoga classes. The classes here focus more on the dharma talk (the juicy quotes, lessons, and meditations shared throughout class) than on getting the perfect headstand. Rishi's is a beautiful community of students and teachers who appreciate the more eastern flavor of yoga. Please note, all of my classes that I offer here come with optional aromatherapy and a sound bath shavasana. This studio also has all of the props you can need, including yoga mats, but feel free to bring your own if you have them! If you aren't sure you want to work with me one-on-one, classes are your preferred practice style, or you want to find a new studio to call home, click the links at the bottom of this page (after the class descriptions)!
Monday nights, I teach an All Levels Flow class that ties the movement to the breath. It is a great opportunity to strengthen your muscles, improve your balance, deepen your flexibility, and enhance your health. I would not recommend this class to anyone who has had recent surgeries, injuries, or severe limitations.
My Tuesday gentle class and my Thursday gentle class are quite different. Tuesday mornings, we focus on asanas that are all seated or lying down. This is a great class for anyone who has movement limitations or has recently recovered from an injury/surgery. The Thursday class is a gentle traditional flow that includes lying down, seated, kneeling, and standing postures. This is a great class for gently stretching out the body and settling into presence.
I currently offer a sound bath every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Friday of the month. As of right now, it includes 7 crystal bowls that each align with the primary chakras. I often offer an optional guided meditation along with the sound. There is no movement in this class; you just come in, relax, and enjoy the sound. In the future, this class may include other instruments such as chimes, drums, and a didgeridoo, but that is pending for the time being.
I currently offer an embodiment class that starts with meditation, transitions into gentle yoga, then an alternative healing method, more journaling, and ends with a community connection circle. November's theme is Art Therapy. We will be learning how painting and being creative can help us release stored emotion. December is 3rd person viewing, where we look at ourselves from a 3rd person perspective to enhance our self-love. The 2026 themes are yet to be decided.
Whenever I agree to sub a class, I will add it here. I have three subbing classes coming up on Oct 29th, Nov 12th, and Nov 19th. This class is usually taught by the studio owner, Jamie, but I will be hosting it for those three weeks. This class is a slow flow that matches the movement with the breath. We hold poses for several breaths in between each transition. This is a great class for all levels of yogis.
